i need an air compressor
i think it's time to invest some doe into an air compressor. i know a little but not much about air compressors. i'll be using some impacts, ratchets, cut off wheels and die grinders sometimes, and maybe a paint gun once in a blue moon. i don't need anything top of the line just something to work on my own car and friends cars, i'm 20 years old, living at home while going to school. once i'm done with school and leave i'll be leaving it to my dad. he doesn't do much work that would need air tools just minor tinkering. once i get my own place with a nice garage i'll invest in a really good compressor. so what's out there that you recommend for a college kid like me looking to spend around $350 (preferably less of course). Don't get me wrong, i don't want something thats only gonna last a couple of months, i am willing to spend a little more for quality but i don't need anything elaborate, just a basic compressor to run basic tools.

First make sure it is up to your needs, they are rated for psi AND cfm, your air tools should have there required psi/cfm printed on them or in the manuals we all keep
, I like to go a step or two above the highest cfm requirment, and if all possible get a two stage compressor, change the oil at least twice a year, keep an eye on the intake filter and drain water often, keep the belts adjusted, it should last many years...........just my 2 centsObjects in the mirror are losing

Just make sure you dont buy one of the miserable oil-less compressors that have become common place recently. John75 GMC C-15 factory 454, automatic, lowered

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
