53 f100
I am building a 53 Ford f100. It has a 302 & i installed a serpentine belt system from American Billet. The water pump discharges on the driver side. I put in a new down flow radiator & hooked the hose from water pump to bottom of radiator. It is understanding that is wrong. Question, will cool like that & if not how do I fix that?

Some of the serpentine systems used a water pump that were known as reverse flow and / or reverse rotation. But not all the aftermarket manufacturers need to use a reversed water pump. You need to ask American Billet which pump you need. I don't know if any one here used one of their setups so maybe somebody might come along with knowledge of their systems.
You might also google their website ( assuming they have one) and see if they offer the info you're after.

Welcome to CHR!
Did you buy this (entire) kit from American Billett? https://allamericanbilletstore.com/b...t-fds-sbf-301/
In a normal setup, the pump turns the same direction as the engine rotation.
This kit comes with a reverse flow water pump and you will need to use that piece or you'll get real hot real quick!

the water pump DOES NOT DISCHARGE on the drivers side-thats the inlet for the pump-the pump discharges into the block------By popular opinions-just a grumpy old man key board bully--But really, if you are going to ask for help on an internet site, at least answer questions about what you are asking about-----
Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
