    Clevite bearing questions

Hey guys, I could use some help identifying these rod and main bearings out of a mid 60s 292 Chevy. Neither one has any markings as to size. No std or number, just part number. The rod bearing number is pretty common but I can’t find this main bearing number anywhere. Any thoughts?

Here's a link to the MAHLE/Clevite master catalog - might be of some use... It's 180 pages long (takes a while to download) and very detailed. The "P" indicates a performance bearing - for what that's worth..

First I would not just go with a bearing because that was what they had in it before.
First I would want to know what the crank was made of, because that determines what the bearing should be made of too.
And I have seen guys put the wrong bearing in things. Don Garlitts told me that.
Rule of thumb Steel crank, steel bearing, not the tri metal bearings.
Soft bearings on a soft crank or they bite in to each other and you'll spin a bearing,
it might last a while, but it will happen.
