    8.8 Ford rear

     



    I'm putting an 8.8 Ford rear in my 37 Caddy and I'm wondering what do you do with the sensor that's attached to it. This is a limited slip rear. Remove it and plug the hole ?

    It’s for an Antilock brakes/ABS sensor. I just cut the tail off mine and used the sensor to plug the hole, but you can just plug it….joe

    I have never done it, but I have heard that the sensor can be left in place and repurposed as a speed sensor for an electronic speedometer.
