We no longer have "parts men". we have some young persons who know how to type into a computer, year / make / model and that tells them all they need to know. For giggles I once said 1934 Ford Coupe. they replied "a what"? then I added, it has a 86 SBF without A/C! All I could do was stand there smiling... I don't think their computer went back that far! LOL

i still have 2 places. most all of the people have been there for years. one gal there has been pulling parts since high school. not much she doesn't know about cars.
the joy of small town living.

You're lucky Shine, out last real parts store sold out a year ago.
The local NAPA store here is a joke. Several years ago I went in and asked if they carried any flex hones. The kid looked me me as asked for the year make and model.
I spend a lot of time looking up my own parts now.

Google "Fuel gauge signal converter" such as this; https://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/p...rod/prd748.htm
Other brands about $25 and up.

Visited a family member at Dockery Ford from the time I was 1 year old through their ownership and then ownership change to Morristown Ford. Dockery was a major player in the Hi Performance...
How did you get hooked on cars?
