    cammel hump heads

     



    could some one tell me i looked up this casting 3927186 and came up with a 64cc 2.02 intake and a 1.60 exhaust.but when i went and seen them thay wear a 1.94 and a 1.50 and was wondering if this casting did came with a 1.94 and 1.50.all i can find is thay only came with 2.02 and 1.60.any help would be appreciate.thanks len

    These heads you speak of are popular heads because they are typically the same as the 291 castings for the 327 and 350 engines of say 65 to about 71 or 72..I sorta forgot the dates on these. However the 186 heads have accessory bolt holes already and the other ones do not. They are good heads and yes they often came with the smaller valves but are good performance heads. They were typically used on Camaros and Novas, the Vettes often came with 462 461 and so on. Performance head of yesteryear. So if they are in good shape and most machine work is done then it's a good deal. But the valves are still small so that leaves me to believe not much work has been done to them. I say bad deal. If they are just castings with studs and small valves, no hardened seats yet and so on, then no no its not a good deal for 300.
    I'd rather go fast than worry about the gas mileage.
