A lot of people have used the 68-80 Camaro or Nova clips on these trucks. I used a 76 Nova clip on my 51 Ford. Worked out real well.

I agree the Camaro clip will work very good. You can buy a video tape on installing this clip in a 55 chevy trk from no=limit. It would be hard not to install it correctly following the tape.

Try these links, I think you'll find that there is some pretty good info in them.

    http://www.chevytrucks.org/tech/ifs&rearend.htm
    http://hotrodders.com/kb/search.pl?T...+frame&Match=0

Here is one specific for a Volare front end swap that seems to be getting pretty popular for 55-59 Chev and GMC trucks (You can probably pick up the stuff you need for this swap at the wrecking yard for around $200-250)

    http://www.hotrodders.com/t12413.html

And of course there are also the Mustang II IFS kits as well if you got lotso $$ (anywhere from $1100 to $3000). Just take a look inside any catalogue for 55-59 Chev/GMC pickups and you'll see 'em in there.

Finally, like the others have said, camaro and firebird clips are popular swaps for these trucks as well.

    Lotso Luck,
