FMX, the belt itself isn't going to give you much loss. The loss comes in when you turn on the A/C and the compressor kicks in.Duane S

No particular reason, I was just curious. I just hear things about how people take off the belt and all and they do a bit of things like that and I didn't think it will do much of a difference. And for TyphoonZR.... you don't have to be a damn smart ass. I was being sarcastic so learn to take things as a joke.www.streamlineautocare.com

So, have you cut the damn belt yet? hehehehe!
Heres something you might want to try. You see, if you take the belt off from your alternator, you will gain some ponies. This way, even if you are running your lights, the fan, etc, it will not put a load on the charging system.
Oh, I almost forgot, the hp you think you might gain, will be lost due to the coil giving you a poor spark, hehehe.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
