Camaro front for a 48 Pontiac

Hi, hope you all can help me. I have a 1948 Pontiac Streamliner 2dr. and would like to upgrade the front end with a 78 Z28. Is this something that I should have the shop do with a frame machine, or could I do it myself??

Your last answer was fine. That is what I was wondering. I posted the question in two different places because I wasn't sure where it belonged. I wasn't looking for a different answer. Thanks
