i am swaping a 305 3 on the tree for my straight 6 3 on the tree anyone got any suggs on this sounds straight forward has anyone done this before and if so were there any unseen probs or some helpfull pointers for this swap?anything at all thoughts suggs precautions ? all help appreciated! ohh by the way its a 66 chevy c 10 long bed fleetside and the 305 is 85 or 86 motor and the 6 is the original motor and trans and the 305 has a older 3 speed just like the 6 has>

Just need to get the V8 motor mounts for that year. They mount in different holes that should already be in the frame. The trans crossmember should be fine. You may have to mount the radiator on the back side of the core support if it's not already there. Then just adjust the position of the fan with the appropriate spacer.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
