    Question Tilt Column with indicator?

    Hi All,

I'm in need of a tilt column for my 48 Pontiac. Does anyone know of a year/model of car that had a tilt column with the shift indicator ON the COLUMN and not on the dash?? It also needs to be without the ignition since mine is in the dash. Hope someone can help with this. Thanks

    Valkman,

You could use a tilt column from say a 67-69 Camaro/Firebird and (They had the ignition still in the dash). Also, if you can't find one, and since you are looking for a column that has the shift indicator on the column and no ignition switch, you may have to look at the aftermarket, like IDIDIT for example. You could also get just plain jane 67-69 tilt column (if you cant find a column shift with an indicator) and then buy one of the after-market plastic shift indicators that mount to the column.

    Here is IDIDITs website:

Here is a pic of the 67-69 Column
