Question cut off switch ? .....

What brand ( home made -- store bought - what ever ?) of" battery cut off switch" do you guys use ?
anything not $100.00 bucks out there that works and won't start a fire?
and what gauge wire to use?
Where did ya put yours " under the dash , the seat, where ?"

had a few ideas about diffrent switches I've seen ,but thought I'd ask ... don't want to sit my rides on fire....
And really getting tired of popping the hood and putting the cable on to start 'em .
cables off because I don't drive 'em enough, not my wiring.

I use the flaming river battery disconnect switch, its not cheap but works great. Not sure of your car for mounting, I mounted mine in the back near my battery, since it's in the trunk. It's a stout switch never had it get even warm during cranking.
Think I got if from Summit racing.
