Shocks for '35 Chevy tudor sedan?
Needed new shocks for a '35 Chevy tudor sedan just purchased and was advised to use KYB's. KYB no. KG5446 for the front Mustang II suspension, and KYB no. KG4192 for the Chevy Nova rear end because they seemed to match what I had.
The car definately handles the bumps better but maybe rides a little harsher now.
Most important though is the loss of its stance, as it sits much higher and just doesn't look right. I think the shocks are for a heavier vehicle (Nissan Frontier front maybe and ??? rear). I do appreciate the fact that the nose is a little higher (desired abt .5 inch, got 1+ inches), but not this much higher.
Anyone know of a set of shocks that would work better for this street rod? Car weighs abt. 3000 pounds I think, do not know the wt. balance front to rear. Have been unable to match the KYB part numbers to the normal application so far - any help appreciated.
One other piece of info:
195X60X15 front tires with 225X70X15 rear tiresCheers,
Steve

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
