    B&M Blower leaking oil

For you drag racing guys, here's my problem. I have a 411 B&M Blower on my Ford 289 and it is leaking oil out of the case filler nipple onto the intake manifold and down the engine. I have covered the nipple with a dress up hose leading to a blank stud on the carburetor to remedy the problem but I am leary about puting a plug on it or blocking it in any way. It only leaks out the nipple while under power on the feeway at higher speeds (and higher pressure no doubt). I just put the blower on a few weeks ago and don't know if I am missing a valve that covers this nipple or if the case will eventually find a neutral level and stop leaking. Perhaps it is overfilled? Please see photo for clarification. I can take more pictures of the nipple absent the dress up hose if needed. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated as blower knowledge seems to be sparce in my area.

How high is the oil level in it? on my 8-71 it says the level should be even with the "2nd to lowest bolt" on the pulley shaft.

Just looked at the pic again and thats a totally different blower drive than i have so the 2nd to lowest is gonna be waaay different. But still might want to check the level compared to what they suggest.

I have been told that it needs to be filled to the level of a lower bolt behind the distributor. This is about five inches down on the face plate that reads "B&M". Right now with the amount that has leaked out I still feel I am a little above this level and the blower doesn't seem to be making that much noise. We were worried about lubrication and have perhaps overfilled it a bit. Now that some has leaked out I am very worried about putting a cap on it.

    All input greatly appreciated.

Not sure here but does it use plain motor oil and if so that could be for some type of oil system external tank or filter or pump,is that hole where u put the oil in and if so surely it takes a plug or a cap maybe its just missin ,i would try that manufactures web site there seems to always be some info on the web,or u could always go where the knowledge is ( the local race track) and local hot rod gatherings. local being loose terminology
