aftermarket A/C
I need some advice or help on getting aftermarket a/c for a '64 Impala S/S. The car never had a/c and I'm having trouble finding a kit...any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Like csf said, Vintage Air seems to have an A/C unit to fit just about any vehicle...that's what we are putting in our Stude...we chose one of their smaller units to fit in the space we had under the dash.
You could probably call your local Vintage Air dealer, and ask for help selecting the right A/C unit for your Impala...

thanks for the info...i'm in austin, tx...and the manufacturer of vintage air is just right down the road. I went to their web site and noticed they didn't have a ready kit available to do myself...so I thought maybe I'd try another avenue...but I guess I'll just talk to them directly...thanks for all the help

It seems to me that most of the impala series had AC optional. Have you considered getting the rebuilt parts from your auto-parts store and making a factor setup? GM AC pumps are usually still available, or you could get a newer setup from a newer car and modify it to your ride. They seems to produce more cold air for less HP loss.Right engine, Wrong Wheels
