    32 Ford Frame Work

I am thinking about having some frame work done on a 32 Ford frame. I was going to pay somebody to box it and weld in a new X member with pedal set up and also help me out with a new box for my Suicide front end.

This chassis is for a 27 T sedan that was given to me by my father. He has had it since 63, and it has not been driven since 74. It needs everything redone on it. It has a Lincoln 368 Turnpike Cruiser Y-Block. Car is totally dismanteled, except the body is on.

My dad is freaking out about me having someone else box it and do the X member, but neither of us are decent welders, and this is all origional steel, and it means the world to me and I don't want to warp it or burn holes in the damn thing.

I am considering Ionia Hot Rod Shop for doing the work. They are only 2 hours away from my home in Michigan. Anyone got any feedback? Am I doing the right thing? I just want whats best for the car.
    Please Help!

    Thanks

Get references and really check them. (although realistically they won't give you the ones they know they pissed off, you just may find someone they aren't aware is ticked)

Make sure they have a frame jig they can set up for a '32 frame, that will keep it from warping if they know what they're doing.

I second the motion on what Bob said, if they do not have a '32 frame jig, don't let them touch it. A bit of "spy time" tracking down some of these guys customers might be best. Go visit them and get a look at their work. If they do quality work they will be proud to show you around and show you their work.
