I need recommendations for a gas tank that will fit under the bed of a 48 Chev Trk. DonDon Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).

Don, I usually make mine out of .060 7076 T6 aluminum... Tig them together, add a filler neck and a sender. They polish up real nice, too. Attach it to the frame with a couple of straps lined with rubber. Just my 2 cents worth.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I have not heard of the term "Burp". What is a Burp. I have a s-10 gas tank but, it is only 13 gal. We would like to find one that is a little bigger. AS far as rear crossmember I have it removed. I am boxing & adding a x member.....thanks DonDon Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).
