Question 1st dumb question, many to follow

I got a set of 40 Ford rims on ebay and the are 16"x4.5k5. but it would seem that 40 Ford hubs are a 5x5.5 lug pattern. What the heck did I buy? Where can I find hubs for this 5x4.5 pattern? thanks for any help, Mike

Good ta' have ya' here Michael. I'm not a Ford guy so I dunno for sure. Maybe redrill the bolt pattern if the wheel center is the same size???

There are plenty of Blue Oval guys here that will be along shortly to answer your question.

Perhaps your rims are Mopar wheels. I have 16" 4 1/2 pattern 5 lug wheels on my '40 Chrysler, and they look like '40 Ford wheels, but with the smaller pattern. Good bolt pattern adapters will make the wheels fit onto the 5 1/2" hubs. Just a thought, I could be wrong

Maybe they were on a modified '40. I have mopar disk hubs on the front that match my '74 Maverick rear (FoMoCo), both are 5x41/2".
