Question Who is this Rob J.?

Back when I first started the "Z" I shopped around for a one pc. fiberglass front end for it. I came across this site that looked purdy' Good.

    http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/7081camaro.html

I even called them and the guy Rob Johnston sounded reliable and pleasant on the phone. He gave me a price for the combination i was looking for and it seemed reasonable enough $1554.00 for a one piece street weight front end. $1704.00 with a hood scoop added. Well now that I'm getting closer to actually wanting one, I look the guys web address up and sure enough he's still there.

Then I see down about 2 or 3 sites is this site.................

    http://www.thesqueakywheel.com/compl...plaint2917.cfm

A guy complaining about Rob Johnston. My question is ........ is this guy just an isolated case? You know ........ the habitual complainer type. Or should i be concerned?
Has anyone had any dealings with Showcars-bodyparts (Rob Johnston) If so how did it go "good or bad" Quality of the parts? Service? stuff like that.

Hey Pro- you can make that front fiberglass clip yourself, and for a little less than those prices. It's not that hard to do, and I will help ya, as well as many others on this site if you need.

Yeah, but in this case it might be easier to have it pre-made. If it was me, i would locate this michael guy and see what he says. Then compare it with what the company says. The truth will come out pretty quick.

Been there, done that. I'd reeeeeealy like to avoid doin' that again. I did the panel cuz' they didn't offer a fiberglass front end for that year. And I just HAD to have one. Then I made a dash too. Just so I could itch some more I guess. Maybe if I were a couple decades younger. HE HE HE

drg84 & john: The BBB and some phone calls sounds good.

Tech & Streets: His complaint does sound a little phishie" HE HE HE

That price seems a little funky as a matter of fact I cant ever remember a item with that particular number for a price and if I did pay that I would round up or down just to not use that number, would u price a bunch of stuff that number? If I owned a store I would not sell anything with that price as I am sure most would not, soooo in sayin that I would say the rest of his storey is probably bogus too, just my oipinion, what I read was far too uninformative for watin a year like streets said there should be a little more storey to tell fer waitin a year??? and who waits a year for parts and a year for a refund then gets mad???
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

    I'm still lookin'.

Just lookin' around to see who has the best deal. Showcars quoted me a price of $1,500.00 a year ago. Everybody else I've been researching is in the $700.00 to $800.00 range, BUT they only have the standard front end not the R/S split bumper (Showcars has). I don't mind paying their price if I know I'm getting my moneys worth. I know too cheap isn't the way to go either if the quality isn't going to be there. VFN is just up the road from me about an hour, However they only have the standard front end (no R/S).
Anybody have any history with US Body Source? Looks like they may have what I'm looking for, but I haven't been able to get ahold of them yet. If I do and they do have what I need I'd like to just go ahead and order it then, but it would be nice to have some "customer" information on their product quality before I contact them. Thanks for allowing me to be a pain in the "Glass". He He He
