    Power Antenna

I bought a Power Antenna from a local junk yard to use in my 1937 Plymouth. Does anyone know how to wire it ? It has 3 wires going to it. Orange, Pink, Black W/Pink stripe.

you got the power, negative and the remote lead to raise it up when radio is on I believe. I would say the orange is power, pink remote and black negative. Not positive, whats the antennae from? With that we might be able to fine wiring diagram for you.

thats a nice wiring diagram that joker51 sent you should appreciate the effort it took for him to do that, but i dont think you need that much info. just to hook up the antenna. see if you have a antenna wire on the back of your radio, if you do hook the pink to the antenna wire at the radio, black to ground and red to a hot all the time fused wire. if you dont have a antenna wire at the radio then hook the pink wire to a (ign, on) hot wire. you can hook a relay up if you like but i dont think you have to. it helps to take some of the load off of the wiring. good luck.

    Power Antenna (Joker51)

    Thanks Joker51
The antenna is from a 1984 Olds. I've been playing around with it and I think your right on the money. I see now why you need the relay. It reverses the current to make it go back down.

no seven p, you dont have to have a relay to make it work. the only reason you need a relay is because some things like fuel pumps, ac comp. elec seats. pull a lot of current so you put a relay in the wiring because a fuse might not carry the shock of the load. the (key on) voltage pulls the antenna up and when you cut the key off the (hot all the time voltage) pulls it down.
