Clay Bar Overspray Removal
Does anyone have any thoughts or tips on using clay bars to remove overspray? I am an old restorer and kinda set in my ways but willing to try new stuff.

Seems to me Dave that stuff hit the streets back in the early 70's also as buff compound & glaze remover. I didn;t try it then either.
I just figgered that someone was trying to sell me dirt, and I prefered to stay with tried & true with customers cars, so I never tried any.
Well- i guess this wasn't much help, I would like to know if anyone has used it to remove overspray.Jim

They work great! Takes off surface contaminants very nicely. Key thing is to use the lubricant that comes with them to avoid scratching the surface, and keep turning the used surface in as it dirties. If you end up with one either without lubricant, or use it up faster than the bar, put water in a spritzer bottle with a couple drops of liquid detergent.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Hi guys I appreciate the responses. It would still probably be faster, if you have a lot of overspray, to fire off the buffer I suppose.
