    Tanning Deerhides

Does anyone know a home recipe on tanning deerhides? I remember seeing a simple way to tan it using the brain, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I am looking as I have about 12 hides coming to me this hunting season and plan on tanning them to redo the interior of the plymouth.
    Any help would be appreciated.
