First off for the system. You can put two 12" or 15" subs in ONE box. Put subs in the REAR of the vehicle facing away from the front. Subs work by bouncing off walls so either face them toward the floor if you will put them on the tranny tunnle or if in the trunk put them facing out the back of the car toward the trunk lid. www.kicker.com Go there and talk to Casey Mcfarlin (sp), she is real cool and help you out. Kicker makes really nice sound systems. I have to say Kicker though since they are my sponsor but they are good I am not just saying it. JL is nice as well but to me Kicker speakers are more clear. I am not big into putting subs into an old car but nothing wrong with it.
That stearing wheel is custom made but saw a place in a street rod mag that sold something like that that is cut. www.coloradocustom.com They have sweet steering wheels and rims to match as well.
Hope this helps. If you need some help on picking out a nice setup with the Kicker then let me know and I will tell you what would be good... Also what kind of car will this go in?www.streamlineautocare.com

Ok, if you are putting the box in the middle then face the subs toward the floor. Doing so you will have the magnet facing up but that's ok just cover it with pexiglass, it will look good that way. Make a wooden box, cover it with fiberglass and prep it and get the fiberglass ready to paint and then leave the top all open, mount the sub in there and pexiglass over the top where your arm can rest... that way you can have a sweet armrest and paint it the same color as your car if you wan't and then have a sub in it. The speakers need to be in the doors or under the dash. Kicker has sweet covers for their speakers with spike looking things on them and they are silver and would look sweet in your doors.
Two 12" subs will be nice. Get a KX.1 Class D sub amp or KX multi channel Amp with Sub section (this is the amp to power the subs just ask the Kicker guy's when you order and they will tell you a good Amp). Now for the subs... You got three to choose from for Kicker... High end really really expensive competition kind, in between brand that is really good or the less expensive (but not much more expensive) kind. If you go with the most expensive or wan't to then the Solo X 10 or 12" subs are the best. They say that Kickers 12" sub is like a 15 or 18" JL since they are not round like most subs, they are square. Or you can go with Kicker Solo Baric L7 12" subs or the Kicker Comp 12" subs. Oh wait there is also the Solor Baric L5 sub as well that one step down from the L7.
I know that is a lot of stuff I just put down but I wanted to just show you what they have. What you should probably get is the Solo Baric L7 or L5. L5 is a bit cheaper but still really good.
Then for the front go with something like a K Series Component System which is the mid and tweeds all in one. Ok well for the back you have a bunch of different choices there so what your best bet would be is to just go to www.kicker.com or call them and ask for a 04 Cataloge.
Tell them Shawn Fremin sent ya as well! heh
When you ask for the cataloge ask for a price sheet as well and then just pick from there. Basically to know the best ones is by looking at the prices... the more expensive ones are the best, the cheapest aren't but are still really good.
Sorry if this is a lot to read and confusing but I wanted to just show you everything you would need.

it would be so hard for me to put speakers in the door will it sound okay if i put them in a speaker box that is all i really have as an option i think
so i should make it out of wood then put fiberglass over the whole thing sand it and then paint it
that will look awsome thanx again
Does kicker offer i warranty if i blow a sub?

Without seeing your car in person I can't really say where to mount the speakers. I don't care for speakers in a box but you can do that. Or try and mount them under your seat near where your feet will be facing forward... Just make sure noone kicks them. With the box thing for the subs it woun't be made out of wood, it will be made out of fiber glass is what I am talking about but you make a wood box to lay the fiberglass resin and all on to give it the shape. That part is hard to explain how to do it in step by step process, it would take me a long time to type something up like that. Go around to other forums for sound systems or something and someone has got to have a link to a site that tells you how to make one step by step... Actually I have a truck mag that has one but not a ton of steps but enough to help get you on the right track and get the materials. Give me a day to find it and all and I'll get back to you. But yeah Kicker is great and they help you out tons... Also I think Kicker does have some kind of warrenty but not sure. They wont the auto sound grand prix award though and a few others like Innovations international CES design and engineering showcae honors award. You will get those JL guys out there saying how JL is better but ever person that told me that said they never owned Kicker but heard them once and didn't like em. So unless they heard all the Kicker systems, etc then they can't say nothing because I never seen JL win any awards here. For those Solo X subs you wan't you may wan't to call Kicker and tell them the car you have and what they think you should do because they have some recommended box volumes and they say those Solo X's are for highly specialized installations/applications. Call them and ask for the Technical Support team and ask them what to do for enclosures based on whichever sub you have and your car.www.streamlineautocare.com

No problem man. Yes place them all the way to the back seats but facing towards the trunk lid. Those 12" Solo X's are going to hit hard as hell, especially when you get two of them. Let me know what you decide to do and some pics would be cool too. I am going to get me some 15" ones to put under my back seat of our 2000 Chevy crew cab and then some new speakers. I am not all into that rap bass crap though but for what I get my stuff from them for I might as well take the stuff. I need to just call in and order but the CD player in the truck broke so need a new one. Too bad I have to pay for the Cd player Some Led Zeppellin sounds good though with loud bass on that song "No Quarter".
Kicker also sells a badass custom made fiberglass boxes too, or they used too, not sure if they do anymore, so if you have the money then check them out as well, they are nice.www.streamlineautocare.com

i didnt see any boxes that they sold except for ones that came with one sub but the might have them in the catalog thax again
oh where should i put the amp just on the trunk bottom? that seems kinda tacky any ideas
On my 76 Corvette I placed them on the left inner fenderwell, made for a short access to the alternator.
