Galaxie, the raido I'm talking about is 599.95, heres the features, AM/FM stereo casset
6 disc cd changer controller ( changer comes with 599.95 model )
    seperate bass and trebel
    local/ long distance button
    auto reverse
    L&R balance
    fast forward and rewind
    tape and stereo indicator
    electric tuner
    pre set scan
    100 watts high power
    18 presets
    seek and scan
    metal tape coppatable
    rca pre outs
    Chrome face
    music search
    original ford logos

The CD changer is somehow used with the tape deck, probably means the tape deck buttons cause there the electric type and not the raido buttons that are connected maually.

Those amps don't look too great or seem to great for that cheap. I never heard of them or nothing and they aren't a big name so I doubt they are any good. You can use em and all but I am not sure how long they would last before they blew or anything. If it were me and I wanted a nice system I wouldn't go cheap, buy the good stuff and only have to buy once.

well im a new guy to this site.. but i also recently finished puting a system in my 1950 chevy pickup.. its got the xploid dual face cd player, the polk audio 5 1/4 components with the 1 1/2 in. tweeters... a very cheap 100 watt amp powering them two, polk audo 5x7's... two 10" rockford fosgate power hx2 subs... that are 2000 watts max each.. they are loud as hell... but i only have a 600 watt kenwood running them...

when i went to buy my amp the guy told me to never go by the wattage the amp says because they usually over rate the amps BIG TIME.... for example... the sony xploid amps... you have probably seen the good old 1200 watt amp... well its true rating is only about 400 watts MAX.... dont ask me why .. but they do... so if you do ask me... i would definetally say the more money you pay.. the more watts you get...
dunno if this info helps out but i thought id let you know.... good luck with your system...

ill try to get pics up of mine soon
