    could i make my own traction bars

     



    could i make my own traction bars with a peice of pipe and connect it to the bolt were the leaf springs are attached and connect it to the U bolts somehow

    You could do what you describe . . . but it wouldn't work. Locking your rear axle to your front spring mount with a "piece of pipe" will totally foul up your rear suspension.

    You can experiment, and maybe come up with something, but for all the work you'd have put into it, you'd be better off with this:

    It'd probably cost less in the long run too.
