Frame for '37 Chevy Sedan???
Hi y'all! I'm new to all of this, and I'm thinking about trying to build a '37 Sedan Delivery or 2-door sedan. My first question is, where do I start as far as a frame goes? Is there a late-model frame that is close to what I would need? I'd like to stay on the less-expensive side, if possible... Thanks! BTW - the frame would have to handle the torque of a 383 stroker...Last edited by DJEckart; 07-24-2005 at 05:45 PM.

Hi,
I'm just getting into puttng a '48 chev 2dr fleetline (I know not like yours at all) onto a early eighties 1/2 ton chassis (chev) I'm having to rebuild a lot of the floor and sub-frame anyway so I thought why not just get something with the same wheelbase that was a little newer and discovered the truck frame fits the 117.5 in w/base perfectly. So now I've got all the suspension, 350/350 turbo combo, rearend, steering set-up (including tilt!) etc. I've only had one guy from this club tell me it's gonna be too much work and to him I say "whatever dude" it's my time and energy. Also had another guy say it was gonna be waay too hard to chop the roof by three inches as well. HAHAHA I'm doing that in a couple of weeks. Anyway good luck P

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
