Question chassis swap 1953 pickup 3100

I have a 1953 chevy pickup that was purchased by my grandfather in 1953.. It has a pacer suspension swap and a camaro 12-bolt.. I want to do a chassis swap, does anybody know of a company that sell complete chassis for a basic body to chassis swap?

Fatman Fabrication has complete frames, with MII front suspension. Also check No Limit and Classic Performance Products. Another alternetive is a Chevy S-10 frame. The classic truck magazines have an article on whats involved. I cant remember which mag it was but check thier back issues. I can understand a swap if the chassis is beyond repair. But you can also do a MII front end.

I was just want to have a nicer chassis ride and i was looking for something more modern. I did this swap around 10 years ago myself. I fabbed the rearend set-up myself I didn't use a kit like the front end. The rearend is stiff ride. The frame is still in good shape.

The rear end itself doesn't make the ride. What type of rear suspension are you running? Leafs like on the '67-'69 Camaros or coils like the newer ones? What type of rear shocks?

I'm use the stock leaf springs. I made the mounts for the rearend myself, boxed the frame and fabed a crossmember for some gas shocks a friend help me figure out the shock travel and a friend @ a local parts store help figure out the shock I needed..

replace the respring w/one of the many kits out there OR remove everyother spring normally just 3 springs will be removed. some people say removing the spring work out great for a softer ride, BUT ur load carring will be less. as for the torion bar set up unless i just don't like it...joe
