Like Dave said, the bags are just there to support the truck. You could use leafs, coils, coilovers, torsionbars, whatever and see little or no difference. The difference will be in the geometry of the lever/levers used to transform torque into forward motion. The Chevy truck arrangement is basically a long ladder bar setup and should work well.

Segregate the fill lines to each bag so that you can adjust pressure from side to side and preload the right rear a little.
Sounds like that should work out pretty good.It gives me more adjustment on tires and weight on each tire.
