'72 EC/Chevelle Frame Stiffeners
I've tried this question on two other boards w/o success.
I bought a parts lot of mostly rear suspension parts for my '72 El Camino. Included were two brackets, about 14-15" long, that were identified as "Frame Stiffeners".
I've checked the Assembly and Repair manuals and haven't been able to find out where they go.
Anyone able to help?I intend to live forever; so far, so good.

Do they have any fittings on them? A picture would help
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Hello, Frame stiffeners tie in the frame mounts for the rear control arms. Where the rear control arms mount to the frame the brace fits from mount to mount. On hi-perf A bodies the rear control arms have been known to rip out the mounts. This usually happens if you get bad wheel hop.Cars Having Excellent Velocity Running Only Low Elapsed Times

I almost forgot. There are different sizes of braces for '64-'67 and '68-'72 A-bodies.Cars Having Excellent Velocity Running Only Low Elapsed Times
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
