A stock chassis? No, but if you squared it up and boxed it and welded all of the riveted seams it would be perfectly acceptable.
Just make sure it is in good shape to begin with and not half rusted away.
A rectangular tube chassis for these cars is simple to fabricate and would be much better in the strength department.
