Just went out to the garage and checked, shit its cold out with frezzing rain coming down, and you are right. I had to move mine back so I could get it behind the grill an reradius the wheel openings to clear the wheels, on my terraplane. To bad you live so far away, I have one I was going to use in my 37 Dodge truck and a buddy of mine gave me one that was complety rebuilt brakes and all, but I am going to be scraping the truck don't need either one.

37 Dodge PU
Hi Dick,
Did I read that correct - you're scrapping the 37 Dodge PU? How much of the truck do you have, and where is Emmaus?
Regards, Mark

MAW
Emmaus is near Allentown PA. the truck is a canopy express, the problem is all of the front body mounts are gone along with the rest of the bottom of the cowl, the bottom of the right dr. is also gone. I bought it out of a junk yard in 82, I turned 70 on the 14, the wife said by the time I would get done I would be to old to drive it so I am parting out what I can and putting the money to get the interior in my 37 terraplane, which I am now driving.
Good luck with yours, I thing 37 dodges are cool.

I went to a car lot that was closed yesterday and crawled under a diplomat and did some measuring. With the sway bar, the suspension sticks out too far forward to fit my '39. Do the Volares, Aspens, and Cordobas have this sway bar, since they are not such big cars? It looks like the sway bar would have to stay on the bigger cars to make their suspension work.

As far as I know all of the bent torsion bars front ends have the sway bar. I the aspen Volare may have a LITTLE narrower front end, but not by much. The Cordoba would likely be wider.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I know what the torsion bars look like, and if it ended there, it would be fine. It is the other 3 or 4 inches you have to allow for the sway bar that is killing me. Now that I have the engine/tranny mocked up in my car, I guess my next step will be to have the original suspension checked to see what it will need, and go from there. My frame is two wide for a Mustang II, and I can't afford a frame graft, and I have no problem with the original suspension if it won't cost a fortune to fix it.

I finally got my copy of the new plydo catalog ordered. He said he only had 1000 copies made. I am waiting anxiously for it to arrive. I can't imagine how much money the guy has lost out on in the last few months. He told me he had problems with his original printer, and had to hire another one. I was told he was almost a year in getting this catalog printed! He told me he estimated that he had lost out on close to $100,000 in business over the catalog delay! I hope the catalog has pictures of their products, so maybe I can get some ideas without having to buy something I could make myself, or have made, a lot cheaper. Mopar rodders are for sure in the minority crowd, but I always did like oddballs!
