Have you installed your engine yet? I was going the same route as you but my oil pan set too low. I tried for 3 weeks to get a set of rear springs for my 39 at PLYDO with no luck. I found another vendor who is less expensive also. My springs should be here Monday. I ordered them Wed evening. Check out this site for a less expensive parts inventory. Andy Barnbaum auto parts.
Your rack install looks good,Is that a cavalier rack?

Hey Dannie yes it's a cavalier rack out of a 90 Z24 had to cut the frame and brace up then replaced the frame where we cut it but still came out nice .we mocked the rack up with the motor in and pulled it to weld up to make sure of clearance .I'm using a dodge truck pan to get the front clearance you may want to look in to that also BudKeep the shiny side up

Mine is a318 from a charger w/904 and 8/34 pos w/2:94 gears,It still has a good lowend torque. It has been bored 30, balenced w/performance cam and larger heads edlebrock dual plane intake with 650 carb. The valves have tripple seats .Seems pretty strong for a small block.
Do you think it is possible to install the rack without pulling the engine.?

yes could be done but with the front end on you will be doing alot of laying on your back trying to use a sawsall on the frame and a lot of close welding you will need the motor in to make sure of your clearance on your pan so to do it . will be easier with either the dog house off or the motor pulled . that's only my thought some one esle may have another. good luck . P.S. make sure it's centered or you will have a problem centering is easy once you get the old out .I'll post another picture also Good Luck BudKeep the shiny side up

Mr. Bud,How does your power steering work? Great I hope. I have been driveing my 39 dodge for the last month or so. I still need to install a rack like yours. Maybe this winter. It drives good except in tight places, however the power unit would make it a lot nicer..Have a good day Dannie.
Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
