Most cars already have the rear axle on the bottom.....LOL

You must be meaning that you want to do a "spring over axle" modification....where the spring pad is on top of the axle and the spring is above the axle. This is commonly done today on Jeeps to raise the vehicle.

Gotta cut the spring pads off and reweld them on the other side with the proper inclination on the pinion. You can go to a web site such as Tom Woods and read his primer on pinion angle relative to the transmission output.

You will have to check your driveshaft length since you are changing the distance from the pinion flange to the transmission output....sometimes there is enough in the slip joint (but rarely).
If you have a torque tube still installed, you're hosed.

what kind of car? what rear end? by putting the rear end on the bottom of the leaf, your going to raise the rear about 2", if you want a gasser, you should address the front end first, and get the str8 axle under there first.
You don't know what you've got til it's gone
