if its has coil springs on it, thats gonna be hard to do. put taller tires on it, would be the only way i know or put a straight axel with leaf springs.Mike

Go to NAPA & look thru their spring catalog...pick out a spring that is 1 to 1 .1/2" taller .Don Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).

Most folks are trying to lower their front end....
Is is sagging because of the additional weight on the front end? You should be able to find a ride height reference for the chassis and measure. If it is sagging, then new springs can bring it back somewhat but perhaps not a full 3 inches. Raising the ride height by using longer springs will upset the alignment and make the tires tilt in at the top.
Like LT1S10 said, use taller tires too.
OR....find the rare aluminum International front sheet metal that they made for a select few Super Stock racers in 1947.....

You could add some 1 1/2 inch coil spacers. Daystar makes some for under 80 dollars. I have not used these, but they go in between the frame spring pocket and and the coil.1940 Buick Roadmaster, Straight 8, 3 speed column, Stock and original, Soon To Be cruising! These guys can supply any spring for any vehicle. Call 'em up and tell 'em what you have. They can supply a longer spring for you.....

One more thought.......raising the front IFS will effect alignment. It may put you at a ht. where the you get bump steer. The lower A arms should be at the same angle as original ........ close to parallel to the ground.
