I have a 1983 caprice. I need help in selecting springs and shock that will lower the car.

You can buy shorter, stiffer springs from NAPA. See if they will loan you there spring cat. to copy the appropriate pgs.

The cat. has the spring o.d.,wire o.d., free length, rate & loaded ht.

get springs from jamco suspension. They should have the front and rear for your car. They should also have shocks to match the springs. I totally recommend them. They make drop springs from cars in the 40's until i think the 90's. I just installed some springs from there on my 46 fleetmaster. You can choose a drop from 1-3inches in the from and i think 1-4 in the rear.
