    Time to bag my merc!

Finally got out of the Navy and now it is time to start working on my 56 Merc. I want to bag it and I need a set up, has anybody in here bagged a 55-56 merc? Any idea where to get a good set up with out having to sell my left testicle for scientific experiments?

you will have to make a set up for this car , i dont know of a company that makes a " kit " for a merc . it is not hard to make it . you can use a ride-proe controller and valves .. is the rear of your car leafs? if it is you take out all of the leafs except the bottom 2 and use the bag to raise it . that is the easy end . the front will need a little fabricating to make it work .
you should be able to find a good shop in your area to handle the install .

No there is not company that makes a "merc kit," but I wish there were such a thing. It does have leafs, it has 4 so far, and the front has cut coils with gas shocks but not low enough, or no smooth enough yet so time for an air system. I should be ok with one compressor right, I don't mind the 3-5 second delay.

as mr mopar said depends on which compressor , get a compressor with a 100 % duty cycle . delay dont really depend on the compressor it depends on the size of line ,tank, and weight. think of it as a straw vs a garden hose , 1/4 air line will only flow so much cfm vs 1/2 line . i dont like "fastbags " because they are harder to hit that sweet spot of the deminision when the bags rides correct .

i have air ride on my 66 coupe deville and im runing 1 viair 450 comp. and a 5 gallon tank and i get full lift when the tank is full. but it takes about 2 to 3 min to re fill the tank. there are companies out that make an engine drivin comp. that will fill 5 gallons of air from 0 to 145 psi in 1 to 2 min. and after you lift your car refill time is 30 sec to a min hope this info helps
