Suspension question...ride quality?
I am building a 1930 Model A Brookville roadster. The front suspension has A-arms with Mustang II spindles. Both the front and rear shocks are Aldan adjustable coilover shocks and the rear has a parallel 4 bar set up. I will be running full fenders with fabricated steel rear fenders to cover my Hoosier Pro street radials.
Since I have never built a hotrod like this before I have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what kind of ride quality I will end up with? Will I be experiencing a stiff rough ride like a 4x4 with a heavy duty suspension or something harsher than that? I am trying to decide if I need to spend the dollars to upgrade to an air ride suspension or just live with how this will turn out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Use your dial caliper to measure the wire diameter of the coilovers front and rear. Then call Aldan and tell them what springs are on the car and what the car is. They can tell you if you have the right springs on the car. If not, they will either trade springs with you or sell you the proper ones. I had Aldans on the last car I built. They are the Cadillacs of coilovers. http://www.aldaneagle.com/PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Styling Z...other than the Hoosiers, I basically have the same car you are describing. The ride is a little stiff but comfortable.
