bluestang- I got your message and will look into that...thanks for the info.
Irelands child- Fatman made my list as well and I haven't completely decided against it, they are competitive, but they push their "ultra low kit" instead of dropped spindles and I'm not really interested in learning how they changed the geometry to come to that result.
I don't like Chassis Engineering either...
I would like to order directly from the manufactuer of what ever kit I get for the technical support, but I hope to just get a good deal also.Last edited by 35fordcoupe; 01-14-2007 at 03:11 PM.

Also, I plan to call Yogi's tuesday to see what they're promotion is on the Heidt's kit. worst case senerio i guess i just deal with out a few options i want.'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

Must have written down wrong number . If he puts on another one for your app i'll try a cut and paste . These price's are a great barter tool. Near by rod shop had no questions on matching when i took in print out of ebay item.
Good question i have is if both units have the same componets ,( rotors, sub frame, arms and so on ) , i wonder what brings the money difference. There is allmost $800 diff between your app and A model at this discount price . Supply and demand are controlling price i think. More A's will be sold then 35's i guess so they can mark them up a bit more. I mean every one in business needs to make a profit or they go out of business and no one want's that.
I've been purchasing off ebay for about 6 years and allways have a great out come. Sometimes the price is lower then parts catalog's from the same vendors just like on sale ( i have a Mustang habit also ) . Rare item's are how bad do you want it .

I wish now that I would have never gotten all that chrome for a full fendered car. I havn't got mine on the street yet and for the past 6 years all I have been doing is polishing chrome. Live and learn. Speaking about others though, I have built 4 other cars for customers including a 34 chevy Sedan Delivery, a 56 Chevy, and a 42 Cadilac and used FatMan Fab complete front ends and all of them turned out really nice with no problems. Even cutting off the old fron ends was a breeze.

Heidt's wouldn't price match, but Yogi's is a little cheaper on the Heidt's MII and they are offering a 10% off promotion so it looks like I'll be ordering from them.
Roy- Fatman is cheaper than Heidt's but they charge extra for a narrowed kit while Heidt's doesn't so it works out about the same, but it does seem like they have a nice kit as well.
Also, I'm going against everyone and ordering shiney parts for my fat fendered car...I might regret it but I can't help it'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

I went plain also Roy that polishing is great for show but i want to wear out some tires on it. Jump in go to store run for parts even drive it to work.
Well congrats 35 . When i was car searching the front end was the idea that was hitting me first.
I have this one framed sitting on my desk. Na just kidding but i do look at it frequently . hope they get the spindles sooner and ship it to me .
The unit will be all paint with plain steel A armsLast edited by bluestang67; 01-15-2007 at 07:20 PM.

I just bought a new combo lathe from Smithy tonight it's even set-up for CNC so as soon as I learn what buttons to push I'll start making stuff. Kinda like Chrome, if it's purdy I gots to have one.

Roy nice piece of equipment to have around. I work at a place with its own machine shop. Some pieces i may need I'll be buying some one coffee . But with the research i see i can get just about everything i need to do this A .
Roy the engine mount cross member did you make that . I have a really simular bar in my stang for a crossmember. I like the idea and thought of one also . A little more strength to the frame and a very solid engine mount. I was actually thinking of copying the stang engine mount design. But till i get header knowledge this will be on hold.http://www.clubhotrod.com/photopost/...0/scan0010.jpgLast edited by bluestang67; 01-15-2007 at 09:47 PM.

That is the Heidts Super ride and yes the a arms are plain steel and will be painted. The TCI looks really close except for the upper control arm eccentrics. Ireland has a TCI and a good pic of eccentric on earlier post..
The only shiny i will have will be shock springs and calipers polished alum.Last edited by bluestang67; 01-15-2007 at 09:21 PM.

OK and Gettin' back, I'm running the Heidts Open Wheel and it is extremely well designed and built. I have run several 3D stress calcs on mine. Like very large safety factors here. And yes it will have to have a couple bolts yanked to align but never again. I've got some photos of it here. Now don't get me going on her rear

ok I got ya...because you were saying you were getting it plain not shiney and most of the point in the superide is that most of it comes shiney w/o adding the option.'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

35 All the pics iv'e seen on heidts show all the shiny ,Stainless, or chrome. I went with just the plain as to keep cleaning maintenance down real low. The only option was the free sway bar from the ebay add. Its a $179 option
