    No Swaybar Mount

My 69 Nova has no front swaybar mounts on the frame.
How do you guys fab the mount on your hotrods?

Nuts welded to frame? (needs a hole drilled in the frame for excess bolt length)

    Studs/bolts welded to frame?

    Other options . . .

    Thanks - Bert

Any chance they're like the 50 Fords and have no frame mounting?

The 50's - and other years - use 4 rubber blocks in the lower A arm channel, 2 per side to locate the sway bar.
They're located at the inside and outside ends of the A arm channels.

The Nova uses a U-clamp and a poly or rubber bushing. Just drill the holes for the clamp, and use nuts and bolts (preferably grade 5 or higher for strength). If it's in a place you can't access inside the frame rail to put the bolt in, then a huck fastener or a nut welded on the frame should work fine. Most truck/trailer shops have an installation tool for the huck fasteners, might try to borrow or rent one as they are quite expensive for just a one time use deal.....

    Thanks Dave -
The frame is square tubing so I'll have to look into a huck fastener or weld a bolt to the frame.
Since I can choose the mounting point, I believe I read that the link should run perpendicular with the car on the ground?

Yup, that's why you need to drill and install the huck fasteners in the frame, or use nuts and bolts to install the clamp and bushing...
