Those old Chebbies had some really loose, no feel power steering!!! I think around '73 they finally got it straightened out and put some feel into the steering. Don't know if the boxes would interchange or not. Shouldn't be too tought to mod the old pickup to put one of the newer style boxes on it though...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

You can plumb in a bypass valve in the pressure line to relieve the excess. Adjustable valves are available in any hydraulic supply house.

Cool,
I knew someone here would have some info.. It will turn to the left 1/2 turn or so when I shut it Off. Havent driven her down the highway yet. can you give me more info on the valve spring issue?? where is the Valve located?? I will see what the local hydraulic shop has.
Im still plumbing in the new under bed gas tank and working on taillights. I gave up on makin the fuel fill behind the taillight.. too many mods .. so now im working on making it fill from the rear stake pocket.

I have the same problem, real loose and touchy, im guessing its a 68 camaro/nova box since thats the front end used, do you just put a pressure valve in the line?
