Frame On 57 Chev
After I got my chevy back from the tub shop, the front
bumper is approx 1 inch lower on the driver's side vs the
passenger side. Someone told me this was done to prevent
the driver's side front tire from jumping off the pavement
when really getting on it. This car does have a lot of torque
with the 468 bb. I was just wondering if this is normal when
tubbing a car?
thanks r dobbs

I'd do some serious measuring on the frame.... Did they do any mods to the front of the frame....???? If you're talking that the right front is lower with all the suspension mounted, and your measuring determines that the frame is square and plumb....probably just a suspension adjustment.... Anyway, the car should set level. I usually set mine up with a set of individual wheel scales. For the street you can set the rear and front side to side weights equal, when you're going racing, you can do some preloading on the right rear....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave, nothing was done to the front suspension. It does have
a 4 link coil over in the rear, but I do not know how to adjust
it. Could this also make the car wobble side to side at higher
speeds? Thanks R Dobbs
