Question 69 Mercury Montego upper control arm

    My first post!

I really would appreciate some help with my problem.

The part I need is the front passenger side upper control arm, but I have had no luck finding it. So, I need to know what years and models of cars are compatible with my 1969 Mercury Montego MX Convertible.

The attached picture shows exactly what I need...

    P.S. My car has a 351 windsor

1000 Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Welcome to the forum. Well this may not be the quickest possible way, but if you go to carpartsamerica.com and click Mercury car parts and follow the instructions on your model it comes up with part #45J0002 (this is an AC Delco # for the control arm pivot) and it says MFG AC Delco next to it. Well AC Delco's home site has a "vehicle list by part #" option that shows you all the vehicles that part fits, quite a few. If anyone has a quicker way or if this is flawed I'm sure it will be corrected.

PS how'd you get a sales picture of a part you dont know where to get?

I don't need the shaft, already have it I need the upper control arm itself....

I wonder though, if the shafts are compatible are the upper control arms also compatible?

On the list it has the 73 Mustang and 72 Cougar both of which I can get access to

Are they compatible? I would hate to buy the parts and have it turn out they are not quite fitting like they should!

The picture is just one I found on the internet from some other car...

P.S. Don't need the shaft see, I don't need this...
