Pat - the visual quality on those QA1 springs was so bad I can't believe they can stay in business. When I talked to customer service at Speedway, you could almost hear "Dummy" being whispered as I explained the problem. The chrome - yeah, how can you chrome only the outer side in a chrome vat. One stands up nice and straight - the other - lists about a half inch regardless of which end you stand it on plus is .25 shorter. AND, they actually felt flimsy - makes me wonder if they really were 185# springs. AFCO replacements will be here on Monday.
I got somewhat educated on coil over springs - you have for coil overs only about 4 standard lengths foe 2-1/2 or 2-5/8 - 8, 10, 12 and 14 inch with rates from less then 100 to over 1000 lb in. Then there is a fairly simple formula to determine what you have based generally on wire diameter and free coils. If any one is interested, I'll dig it up and post.Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug
