Sport Truck Suspension woes
If you've read the other post's of mine (305 Hot Rod truck). Then you know I'm stubborn. My Prob here is that when I try to find a sport suspension to put on my truck people always ask one of two questions: How much lift do you want?? OR How much do you want to lower it?? What they dont get is that I dont want to Lift it OR Lower it! I Just want to find the very best sport performing suspension I can find. I realize that this will probably involve(definately) changing the stance and hieght. But no one will give me a straight answer because " uhh...duh...all we got is lift kits" OR " err...yeah...lemme see... naah man all we have is lowering shackles....sure you dont wanna slam it?" Nobody seems to know which is best, only which company makes the most radical lift ( " A Bazillion Inches Man!! It's by Rancho Bongo!!!!") or streamlined lowering kit ("Yeah Man!! Its so low you have to toe in your wheels like six inches!!! And then your whole frame scrapes the ground!!") Anyone out there got any tips? I could always read the manufacturers descrip. or some magazine that always writes about the same company winning their editor's choice award. But that's like buying an aligator from a guy with no feet who lives alone. ( Sure he's tame...good with kids too...just remember to feed him twice a day...)
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
