The car is an automatic but the rearend has apparently been rebuilt fairly recently by a company called Unitrax in Anaheim. They badged it with a serial number. I've sent them an email to try to get more info about it. Hopefully, the gear ratio has been changed and beefed up a bit, but I'm guessing it was originally a Dana 36.

Update: just spoke to the guy at Unitrax. He pulled the records and it is a Dana 36. They installed a new factory 3.07 gear set in Nov. 2005.

Well, while I'm doing the research to figure out which of my vehicles might one day drive like a Corvette, I tucked the suspension out of the way so I can proceed with my tailpan repairs....

Why? Wouldn't it be better to be a female with a nice looking rack? Either that or a big buck deer......in either case, a nice looking rack would be a plus! Just sayin'

A nice looking rack on a Corvette suspension isn't so bad either....

Hey Tacson, after a lot more research and a reality check, I realized this wasn't going to be a realistic option for either of my vehicles right now, so I sold both the C4 suspension & Flatout kit to finance the engine swap in my truck. It's a cool setup though and the Flatout guys make a really nice kit. If you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to try to answer them.
