Yea, an old, old thread back from the crypt... I will throw some info in here though because it will get hits now and it may help someone else who could be wondering about this...
Let me expand on what johnegoins touched on...
An S10 is a "front steer" suspension. The steering box is in front of the suspension. What this means is, once you get the frame installed and want to mount the front fenders and grille, you will find the steering box is sitting right where the front of the left front fender wants to be. The box will actually have to "poke" out the front of the car... Not good for aesthetics in my book. The S10 frame is not a good swap candidate for the earlier full fendered cars.
The MII suspension is a perfect fit though as Dave said and would be a much easier addition to any of these style cars or trucks.

I'll tell you what, I have never seen a frame swap that turned out worth a darn. It just takes WAY more work than the wheel base matches. A pickup, yeah they sort of work. Theres a 36 Chevy truck in town with an S-10 frame under it. But there again, the front wheels are too far back. Only a half inch or so, but it looks like hell.
This goes for clips as well, most just don't work. They look like a friggin placenta for goodness sakes, MINE included. That is why I am getting another frame and putting a mustang II front on it. I did a decent job on my Camaro clip, it all measures out good, but darn it is UUUUUUGGGGGLLLLYYYY.
Funny thing is, I can sell it on ebay and get the money to do it right.

Thank you Roger. .
