Shake & Rattling instead of Rolling
Can anyone figure this out ? My car is not a hotrod but an '84 Jeep Cherokee w/ a 3in. suspention lift. It has 31x10.5r15 tires. The problem is that when I drive over 35 or 40 m.p.h. the front end goes balistic !! I have allready replaced every tie rod end, stearing stabalizer .I put the Jeep in the shop today & had the tires balanced & rotated. The mechanic said everything was solid & couldn't figure out what was causing it. The stearing wheal shakes like mad. The front tires wobble left and right. And the whole Jeep shakes like crazy so bad it is distroying other parts. If you can't answer can you please direct me to the answer? Thanx

It sounds like the alignment is off. They should have aligned it when they replaced the tie rod ends unless you replaced them yourself. If that's been done then it could be worn ball joints but that should have shown up during an alignment. If it's 4wd it could be the CV joints. Whatever it is the mechanic should have found it. Maybe the trouble is that you need a better mechanic." Im gone'
