    85 Camaro Brakes

Hi All - Have a 46' ford Hotrod - half done - I purchased it incomplete - it has a 10 bolt 85 Camaro rearend and a mustang two front end w/ a kit crossmember from about 12 yrs ago - has chev rear calipers and ford front calipers- Rotors are 10-1/2 inches - question is? - where do these calipers come from? - from research I have found that neither the 85 Camaro nor the 74-78 Mustang have this large of rotors. I've heard they could possibly be from a Thunderbird of the same year asa the mustang. - Any help would be greatly appreciated - many thanks in advance - keep "RODDIN" -

Charlyg, I'm not shure on the brakes but, I do know that your Ford is not 46 inches it's a '46.

Do they have a GM 5X4.75 bolt pattern? If so they are probably mid-70s Camaro rotors. The calipers are likely '78-85 GM "Metric" calipers.

If the fronts are ford bolt paterns, they are off of a Granada, that is the only other ford rotor that fits those spindles. If they are GM, they are probly 82-84 monte carlo rotors becuase they fit those spindles also.

Thanks all - sorry about the typo - These rotors are all chevy 5bolt/4.50-4.75 inch bolt pattern - could they be from the 85 Camaro Iroc/z? - Thanks - charlyg - they are 10 1/2 INCHES!

the front rotors at 10.5" and 4.5" 5 bolt are stock camaro rotors. I went out and measured those on the 84 V8 (non-z non-rs) camaro.

as for the rears...i know drum is stock on all but a few. i havce hte reference book loaned out right now so i can't look up what year came with disk or what interchanges.
