1938 Ford Pickup suspension... Help!
I'm new to Hot Roddin so please bear with me! Just bought a '38 Ford pickup which is original except for a GM 350 engine and some GM tranny. I want to first put in a new front suspension and have heard about the Mustand II type option. I've also heard that suspensions out of other cars can be swapped in for a lot less money (from a wrecking yard). Thoughts? Ideas? Which car/truck would best provide a donor front suspension? Thank you all for any advice!!! Dave M.

I've responded to this question from others and I'll give you the same answer. On my 37 chevy(wheel base shoud be the same as your 38 ford) I put in a AMC Pacer front end. This was used years ago, but the mustang ll and others have taken it's place. The pacer front end comes with a rack and disc brakes which you definitely want if your going to be running a bigger block that the flattie you probably have now. I've had no problems in the last 3 years.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
