rack and pinion
I HAVE A 1988 35TH ANNIVERSARY CORVETTE. THAT BOUNCES WHEN I REACH 70 MPH. HAVE NEW SHOCKS, TIRES, BALANCE. IS THS A SIGN THAT THE RACK AND PINION IS BAD OR BENT, BECAUSE THE RIDE HAS GOTTEN ROUGH.

Like Pro says, does you steering wheel shake or rattle? Are you loosing oil from the rack. Other problems could be bad tires, warped rotors, bad ball joints, springs, strut cartridges, tie rod ends, shot bushing.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
